Across America, dryer vent fires are more common than chimney fires!
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), dryer related home fires are on the increase. CPSC figures show that in a single recent year there were 16,800 dryer fires which resulted in 30 deaths, 430 injuries and $97.3 million in property damage. Many of these fires were caused by flammable lint, dirt and dust that accumulate inside the dryer vent. The lint screen does not catch all of it!
